The Yellow Frog is a specialized hybrid efficient aerator comprised of a Blue Frog circulator with a 1.25 HP blower attached. Surrounding the chassis is two layers of aeration hose. Each Yellow Frog adds 104 cubic feet of air into the water per minute through bubbles measuring less than 1 micron in size.
The Yellow Frog increases the oxygen transfer rate in lagoons to allow for nitrification/de- nitrification.
Total Horsepower per unit: 4.25
Aerates the top 3 feet of water.
Attached growth media biologically lowers ammonia levels.
Bubbles rise (9” & 18”) into 7 MGD radially outflowing gas-free water.
Eddies serially re-entrain bubbles until oxygen is dissolved.
Shaded attached growth surface provides habitat for various aerobes.
BOD is reduced by a combination of aerobic and anaerobic pathways.
The system requires an engineered float depth of 4 feet.
